The 3M™ 6006 Multi-Gas/Vapor Cartridge provides gas and vapor protection in a variety of different environments. In half-mask use, the filters can be used for concentrations up to 10 times the permissible exposure limit (PEL) of the gases and vapors. In full-facepiece use, the filters can be used for concentrations up to 50 times the PEL. Recommended applications include assembly, batch feeding, chemical cleanups, chemical transfers, cleaning, hazardous waste operations, spray painting, and molten metal pouring. This multi-purpose cartridge helps reduce the inventory and training requirements for safety equipment. Common industries include chemicals, mining, oil and gas, and primary metals.

This multi-gas/vapor cartridge is compatible with 3M™ 6000, 7000, and FF-400 series half-mask and full-facepiece respirators (with a cartridge-style filter holder). The cartridge is NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) approved for environments containing certain organic vapors, chlorine, hydrogen chloride, chlorine dioxide, sulfur dioxide, hydrogen sulfide (NIOSH), ammonia, methylamine, formaldehyde, or hydrogen fluoride. The NIOSH color code assigned to this cartridge is "olive".
