The 3M™ 8577 P95 Organic Vapor, Acid Gas, and Particulate Respirator is a disposable particulate respirator designed to help provide effective filtration of certain oil-based and non-oil-based particulates, with a filtration efficiency of ≥95%. The activated carbon layer can reduce exposure to organic vapor odors such as solvents, degreasers, and resins. Recommended applications include casting operations, laboratory settings, agriculture, petrochemical production, and priming, where particulates and organic vapor odors may be present*. Foam sealing and a soft inner lining enhance comfort, and the cup-shaped design makes the respirator more spacious and durable. The woven headbands and adjustable M-shaped nose clip help improve user comfort and wearability. This respirator combines 3M's Cool Flow exhalation valve with advanced electret media, enabling easy breathing. This respirator is compatible with various eye protection and hearing protection devices.

This respirator is equipped with the 3M Cool Flow™ Exhalation Valve, making it an ideal choice for high-temperature, high-humidity, or long-wear applications. The 3M Cool Flow Exhalation Valve is designed to rapidly release heat and moisture, preventing uncomfortable heat buildup inside the mask, a major source of wearer discomfort. Testing has shown* that respirators with the 3M Cool Flow Exhalation Valve maintain an average interior temperature 7.5°F lower than similar products without the valve, keeping the wearer cooler and more comfortable, especially in hot, humid, or physically demanding conditions. *Testing conducted in 3M labs, with protocols, data generation, and results summary reviewed and approved by experts from the University of Minnesota. This testing was not part of NIOSH testing and certification.

This particulate respirator is NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) approved for use in environments containing certain non-oil-based particulates, with a filtration efficiency of ≥95%. 3M recommends this respirator for reduction of organic vapor odors. *Odor level refers to concentrations not exceeding the OSHA PEL or other applicable government occupational exposure limits, whichever is lower.
